*Community revitalization volunteers are part of an initiative that helps people settle in a community while carrying out local support activities such as developing, selling, and promoting regional brands and local products, as well as working in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and resident support. Volunteers move their resident registration from urban areas to less populated or otherwise disadvantaged areas and work to become long-term residents there. They are commissioned by local governments, and the term is generally one to three years.

You can take your time preparing for permanent residence, including work and housing. (Approx. 70% settle after their term)
